Tasks of the Classification Unit
- Following up on the requirements and standards of global and local university rankings (e.g. QS, THE, Webometrics, etc.).
- Collect and analyze data and indicators related to university rankings in coordination with the concerned colleges and departments.
- Preparing strategic plans to improve the university's ranking in various rankings.
- Documenting scientific, research, and educational activities that contribute to raising the university's ranking.
- Follow-up on scientific publication rates and research citations in cooperation with the Scientific Research Division.
- Updating the university's data on the approved ranking websites and platforms.
- Coordinating with the Website Unit to ensure the accuracy and up-to-date of the published information.
- Prepare periodic reports on the results of the rankings and submit them to the University Presidency.
- Analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges related to the university's position in the rankings.
- Providing suggestions and recommendations to improve academic and administrative performance according to classification criteria.
- Follow up on the academic accreditation requirements related to university rankings.
- Promote a culture of rankings among faculty members and staff.
- Supporting participation in international ranking questionnaires.
- Archiving documents and guides for university rankings.
- Coordinating with government and ministerial agencies related to classification affairs.
