Tasks
- Auditing and reviewing financial and administrative records and entries to ensure their accuracy and the soundness of the procedures followed.
- Monitoring compliance with laws, regulations, instructions, and controls approved by the competent authorities.
- Evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of internal control systems and proposing ways to develop and improve them.
- Conducting prior and subsequent audits of financial transactions, contracts, procurements, and tenders.
- Monitoring expenditures and ensuring their conformity with the approved financial allocations.
- Detecting cases of waste, manipulation, or administrative and financial violations and taking the necessary actions accordingly.
- Preparing periodic reports and submitting them to senior management, including observations and recommendations.
- Following up on the implementation of recommendations issued by internal and external oversight bodies.
- Coordinating with the Federal Board of Supreme Audit (or Financial Control Bureau) and other relevant oversight authorities.
- Contributing to the promotion of the principles of integrity, transparency, and accountability within the institution.
- Participating in the assessment of potential risks and developing preventive plans to mitigate them.
- Providing technical advice to various departments regarding control measures and oversight procedures.
- Maintaining audit documents and records with complete confidentiality in accordance with approved regulations.
